Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth

The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth is an independent hospital in St John's Wood, London. It is informally known as "John & Lizzie's".

It was founded in 1856 with a Roman Catholic affiliation and is a registered charity.[1]

In 2009 it had an income £42,671,000, making it one of the 150 largest charities in the United Kingdom.[2]

Its profits from private healthcare are used to run St John's Hospice, located within the hospital site.

The Hospital is also the home to the London Diving Chamber, a hyperbaric decompression chamber for treating decompression sickness (DCS) and providing other hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) treatments.[3]
